Yeah, Edwards is in a no win position. He’s surrounded by a lot of JAGS with the injuries right now. Too much pressure for one player. -
just hurts with who's out right now for themOriginally posted by Mac4LyfeEdwards has 38 but the next teammate only has 11. They have become so one dimensional, it’s not sustainable. Contrast with the Cavs that are always moving the ball.Leave a comment:

He doesn't pass the ball. Turned to Jordan a month ago for advice because he was upset about teams double-teaming him -he wants to score every time. Great players make it easier for their teammates.Leave a comment:

I love Amen Thompson. He’s going to be an all NBA defender soon. His offense is really improving as well but a long way to to reach Edwards status.Originally posted by IBetYouPeople got carried away with Edwards last year. Great down hill scorer but not really a lead guy. Amen Thompson will surpass him before long as the top American 2-guard.Leave a comment:

Hard to recover from a 12 point 1st quarter. The rim looked like there was a lid on it.Originally posted by ThaTopMoronno wonder the Cavs are killing the wolves because they couldn't hit a shot for almost an entire quarter... they didn't cover again last game v wizards so the % of covering for this game went UP up and away!
think they hold onto this lead and win by 10 to 15, even if Edwards keeps scoring and gets to 40, 45Leave a comment:

I’ve got futures on them to win the east and win the NBA. I’ve been tying up my money on futures bets. Haha. OSU cashed for me. The Browns did not. I also have +3000 o the Gators basketball team. That team probably has a better shot than the Cavs. They are built to win a title, crazy guard play, tough, LONG big men.Originally posted by ChuckyTheGoatMac, are you betting any Cav futures? To win the East? Or to win the NBA?
I haven't followed NBA that closely this year. Just a couple observations:
1) I know Boston is coasting. I'm not sure they're that HUNGRY this year. Might not just be them coasting.
2) Remember all the Western notes I posted last year. My instinct is that the West isn't that strong this year OUTSIDE of OKC. Teams like DEN/Min/Dal are not as good as they have been in the past.
I'll be rooting for your Cavs. Hope they do it.Leave a comment:

I like the Lakers and Mavs after the trades, provided all these guys can stay healthy, especially AD. The Mavs defense is going to be ridiculous and the Lakers are going to be impossible to stop from scoring.Originally posted by Git LoLakers starting 5 looks really good
Luka, reaves, lebron, finney-smith, and williams. Several games over .500 and upgraded their roster.Leave a comment:

Finer brick laying you'd be hard pressed to find, unless of course you're at a mason convention.
0 for 15, I don't think I'd ever see such a dubious beginning.Leave a comment:

I really like Niang, although he’s athletically challenged. He seems to be a locker room glue guy. Him and Thompson were very close and did a very entertaining podcast. LeVert was just so inconsistent. I’ve been watching basketball for decades and have never seen a guy air ball 5foot shots like he does. Good grief, he miss too many bunnies. Plus he was on an expiring contract. He had to go.Originally posted by IBetYouIt's a good move. Niang too weak defensively to be of any use in the playoffs. LeVert mediocre. Hunter will likely remain a backup, but definitely strengthens their rotation.
I think this move makes Cleveland a serious contender.Leave a comment:

Yeah, he’s a solid starter. I hate messing with the roster when it seems like Cavs players like playing together but this is an upgrade at SF.Originally posted by Git LoDeandre Hunter is a good pickup, hes been getting better over the years but hawks are putting their faith in the rookie.Leave a comment:

Yeah, you have to read the tea leagues in the NBA. A lot of strange shit day to day. Cavs were up 10 in that game with 40 something seconds. Game should have been over. Then allow Detroit to go on a 12 to 2 run. How the hell do you let them tie the game? How the hell did Detroit cover the spread. Strange shit.Originally posted by ThaTopMoronThe Cavs were up 8 with 56 sec left and magically win by 3 needing a last sec shot to go in. The Cavs really fouled same guy twice in the final 10 seconds shooting a 3...
the Cavs moved down to -3.5 with guys being confirmed out for the game...
Cavs lost to Boston on TNT (hmmm, remember this happening on TNT when the Cavs were 15-0 and I told you to bet Boston?)
so lost one and now won played with the spread... next opponent is washington who after losing 16 in a row have won 3 ROAD games in a row?
Yeah, Cavs spread is a good bet next game. That is how the league works.Leave a comment:

But they were without both their best wing defenders in Wade and Okoro. For as awful as they played last night they were still in it at the end. Boston was at full strength. I don’t worry about meaningless games in February. The Cavs will be alright. But feel free to pile on right now.Leave a comment:

Cavs will have the best record in the East and home field advantage in the playoffs. Boston is the champion. You will have to go through them but NY is nowhere the team they were 2 years ago when they beat Cleveland in those playoffs. The Knicks are much softer. Ain’t worry about NY.Originally posted by lakerboyThey are third in the east pegging order. Boston and NY are both better. They will lose again today but it's February and those games are meaningless right? Team is not going to win anything.Leave a comment:
