A seminar or a meeting isn't a competition. It's hard to think of a fitting analogy for this situation.

If the contest was for bragging rights then I'd admit that picking only extreme favorites would be childish. But there's $ on the line and that makes it hard for me to justify picking a underdog without feeling like I'm making a mistake. With that said, if I had known everyone was going to pick as if the top 3 took the prize I would've followed suit so you have a point.

I don't know why someone would enter a contest and purposefully avoid +EV picks. Furthermore, laying big chalk 3 times definitely doesn't guarantee victory, as evidenced by Trae Young getting a block last night.

If Andy doesn't want us to lay big odds in contests like this in the future then I'm happy to abide by that, but the claim that we're "ruining" the contest by using our brains imo doesn't make much sense.
