As a tennis player myself, federer is just amazing to watch. Do you know how it is to keep your eye on the ball 100% of the time? sometimes i just wonder how talented he is. And we dont have to worry about not seeing someone as good as him for a while because he just had twins =)

The grand slam streak that he has is insane.

It's very easy to slip in Tennis. Look at someone like Agassi, who won the career grand slam, and in between major victories dropped out of the top 100.

Or to really compare, look at Sampras, as dominant as he was, Federers major steak is way more impressive. WHich of course, is why over the last two years when Fed struggled a bit and the media and idiots said he was done was retarded. He hasn't missed a grand slam semi in 5+ years... that isn't struggling, that's pure domination.... andy murray is supposed to be tennis's next young star, he can't even make a grand slam semi. Other tourney's may pay, but for the players it's all about the grand slams. Sampras never came close to winning the French, Federer only lost to probably the best clay courter ever there for 5 years and finally won.

Greatness makes a sport more interesting. Mens tennis is at a great spot right now. I think the only reason these arguments come up is because of the lack of great players from the USA.

I hate watching fed ex..... Nadal is better and Nadal would give him a run if he wasn't hurt...... Nadal's style is amazing to watch. I'd rather watch Nadal piss against a wall the Fed play tennis...... You are jinxing fed.... but who cares.

At the top of their games, Fed beats Nadal on 3/4 Grand Slam courts. I know Nadal has the overall record (and slam record), but so does Andy Murray and that don't mean shit -- Nadal has what 5 slams? Get back to me when he wins the US open 5 years in a row.

I haven't watched a tennis match that didn't involve Roger Federer since Agassi retired.

Same way as I'm way more interested in golf majors when Tiger is in the hunt on Sunday than when he's not.

Just remember the last 2 Wimbledon finals before anyone thinks Fed makes the sport boring.

Does Tiger make golf boring? The only tennis matched I have ever watched wire to wire was Federer vs Roddick @ Wimbledon. Tennis is already unbearable to watch, taking away the sports best player doesn't seem to make it more appealing to me. I think I'd rather watch a replay of a baseball game then watch a live tennis match.
