Sharp... I appreciate it...

The Ball State loss was unfair for sure... and I actually lost track of Ole Miss game ... what I'm trying to do isn't remotely easy. And I have got several naysayers saying it can't be done.

So I appreciate the encouragement... I just had a 14+ hour day... nothing to do with my programs. I got up at 430 to proofread my sons college paper for two hours... I taught high school a full day... then I did after-school care at elementary school for 3 hours... and finished off the day by giving plasma. True story.

So the encouragement is appreciated.

On to the next week... 1-0 to start. Hope everyone got in on South Alabama.

I am running it again at -10... what the steep line up really means is that my system... identified a line weakness in Vegas and so did a bunch of other people.

My suggestion is if you trust my system... get you bets in quickly because lines will change.

I got -7.5 but bought a point to -6.5.

At -10... it would still be a bet... actually the system has the accurate spread around -16 or -17... I am very curious about Vegas game on over and Cincy game.

Any opinions on these upcoming bets...

NBA starts in a couple of days but my program sucks for the NBA. This year... I collect data... and hope to generate a program that works.

I feel like I have 3 programs that may work... why not a fourth. It seems that more people are starting to believe I am onto something which is encouraging.

Curious how the system does this weekend....

Mostly positive on the college bets. NFL is a question mark for me mentally... SF is injured and my system can't take that into account. However, Vegas has to take that into account and lower their odds.

New Orleans +7.5... I don't even know the NO QB now... but I trust my system.

Atlanta ... TB over makes sense...

It has taken me 15 years to get here... You need to be able to program... understand statistics... be a math guy and start collecting data... which is the toughest part. If you can do all that... than go for it.

I might change one small feature after this weekend. I am not a fan of the picks but I going to bet them and run it anyway. The one thing I might change is the weighting of the spreads. I have a unique approach to taking the spreads into account. If it works again, I obviously won't change anything. I am skeptical.

Well... I looked at the parameters for Away + the points and in the past at the current algorithms... Away+ is hitting 91% of the time based on historical data.

I changed the parameters to tighten them a little and it dropped to 85% and it eliminated 3 of the 4 away+ games. The only one that it kept was the Las Vegas game which I hate the most.

So I am not sure what to do at this point. I guess I should just keep the bets as is and see what transpires. This is an unusual week because about 7 bets are a TD or more point spread. I am going to not make any adjustments... but I do believe this week will make my program stronger.

A suggestion. Lower your betting percentage on NFL this week. Maybe go 1% ... 3%. Sunday should be interesting.

Any real opinions... I appreciate your response.

I've been tailing Dave. Appreciate all the work you've put in and shared with everyone! Fully aware these systems aren't fool-proof and require tweaks from time to time, but so far so good! Agree the LV pick worries me (even as a life-long Raiders fan), but seems when I begin to pick and choose that I lose out.

After the fact, I was able to add a feature that eliminated the Louisiana game and didn't affect the past. I will obviously still count it as a loss but I continue to upgrade.

My hope is to be on fire... next year. This year has been fantastic, but I plan to risk much higher stakes, next year.

Now, that I think I got my NBA system up and accepting data, I might try and analyze the past years and come up with working algorithms.

NBA has been my toughest model so far.

I feel like it is a tale of two cities before and after the All Star break. It seems like the teams play defense after the break and don't prior to the break.

NBA... underway... and I am upgrading and trying to produce picks at same time...

So I am spending a tremendous amount of time right now... trying to fine tune my model for NBA. It was unsuccessful last season and I know I can do better.

I launched it yesterday with the preface that you shouldn't bet it. I already made some upgrades that eliminated the Memphis over... but it increased the San Antonio bet to a 5 Star.

Did the line really move on San Antonio game from -2 to +2.5. My system predicted a health margin of victory without getting the 2 points.

Am I that tuned in where the lines are moving when I spot an anomaly? If you look at NBA post I had SA winning by 8 I think and they were getting two points... the line adjusted... accordingly.

but... my friend... just asked me to continue to send him all the data because I am producing better numbers than most.

Don't bet my NBA until it is ready. I don't know how many people are even tracking me but I don't want anyone to lose money unnecessarily.
