The side I would be on is you're going to have to pay me before you can platform to venue that offers incentives.
IE-so you're a star and want to x buy receiving income from advertising, well you're going to have to pay big before that unlimited incentive is offerd

We are glad to have you back. However, the goal of the exclusive contests is to reward the members who have remained active throughout the transition. Post history over the last 365 days going back to August of 2023 is what we were looking at for eligibility for non-pros.

That being said, these aren't the only contests being offered this season. There will be several other weekly/monthly games in addition to our regular big event contests that will be open to all players and we encourage you to play!

There was never any use collecting a lot of non-pro points, as you could only keep 3000 when transferring to pro anyway.

But if you have been an active user on the site, you don't need to be pro to be part of it

I've been here for 14 years. Never went to the other forums. Logged in every day all those years up until the last year or so. I've ran my point balance up to as high as 40k (when I infamously lost it all on sbr bj and sbr john made fun of me).

Used points to buy 5dimes cash and pizza cards many times. Play poker tourneys where I won an sbr shirt, hat, cards and other things. Didnt win the wsop main event seat that fuzzy dunlop won tho.

Being a pro for the last 14 years or however long its been yes I do think that time and point accumulation/spending should be taken into consideration. I'm no jjgold but I do think I belong in the "sbr legend" group.

We have typically just run horse racing contests for the triple crown races. But if there is enough interest, we could fire something up for the Breeders' Cup in November. If you have any other suggestions, feel free to post them in the contest calendar thread.

We understand the disappointment, it was a big part of SBR for years. That being said, we are committed to filling the gap with fun content and challenges to excite our members. The community will continue to be what keeps SBR strong and we hope you stay along for the ride!

Totally agree with unde0087 here. Why are you giving “extra” entries in the drawings to SBR Pros with larger point balances verse long time SBR Pros with lower balances? It’s bias against those of us who spent, gambled, played poker and gave away our points thru the years.

Extra entries should be based on SBR Pro seniority based on your sign up date and how long you’ve been here. Not how many were accumulated thru loan sharking, points dumping and getting lucky in points contest.

Go look at my and several other long time SBR pros lifetime points balances. How about using that as a fair basis for how many extra entries an SBR Pro gets? Thanks for listening.

Your loyal contributions to SBR do not go unnoticed. As I mentioned to unde0087 who raised a similar point, the criteria for these contests/draws has been set so we are unable to make any more tweaks.

Rest assured, we will have something in the works to engage and reward our long-time SBR legends like yourselves in the coming months. Stay tuned!
