Looks like 4 teams have seperated themselves from the pack through the group phase; those being the teams with the best record (usa/ ger/ can/ srb).

Hoping for a usa/ can semi-final like last year, and in the other semi's a re-match of last year's WC final (in which Jokic dnp). But I may be getting ahead of myself, as upsets are common...

Coach Collet doesn't know wtf he is doing -never liked this guy. Trying to play 12 guys every game! He says their offense lacks creativity but he wont give decent mins to his most skilled guards (Fournier/ DeColo) whom are admittedly past their best. Fournier blew up on the coach post-game through the media..... unfathomable but he might get unceremoniously dumped from the NT after all these years as the man.

I know Sixers fans are excited about getting PG for this season but... Embiid can't even be healthy for a 2 week tournament in the middle of summer (didn't practice yesterday -the SF is today).

Lotta talk on here about the rest of the world catching up on USA. Case in point, they would be fighting for Bronze tomorrow if not for naturalizing the African ...again, not an MVP candidate by any stretch but he addresses their main weakness.

Embiid awarded the Order of Valor by the Cameroon president for his gold medal in France (with team USA). Can't make it up; valor for a traitor.

They don't seem to have patriotism in Africa... Cameroon were actually in the OQT in a very weak group. They had a naturalised American guard. Could have handled a banged-up Brazil -actually did beat them in the group phase.
