Any bigger story of year than Oudin winning the US Tennis Open?
Hypothetical ?
If she won this tourney, would it be the biggest sports story of 2009 and maybe in Open history?
Thanks

It'd be good for women's tennis but Oudin won't get past Wozniacki.

The cinderella run ends with Woz tomorrow. It's only a big story because the shitheads at ESPN like to hype Americans. Yanina Wickmayer is just as big a cinderella (and an even bigger side story since her rise has coincided with her helping Clijsters on her comeback). Petra Kvitova was ranked lower than Oudin, beat the #1 in the world, and I'm guessing got less than two minutes of air time.
BTW, I'm holding a Clijsters +1200 ticket to win that I bet after her first match in Cincinnati. I have Serena at +235 pre-tournament as well, which looks like an absolute steal.
Say good night Melanie. Those sickos drooling over her are not going to know what to do when they see Caroline across the net.

if she made it to the finals and lost, it still wouldnt be as big as tom watson finishing 2nd at the british open
