If everybody won there would be no money for us to make, its the nature of any business, the vast majority will either make a loss, just get by or make a little, a small minority will be successful and a very small group will take the lion share. Its not just in this business, same in any.

My father's been a pro poker player for over 20 years. He's got well over a 95% success rate going over that time (he has like one losing day for every 19 winning days).

I think what you mean to say is, "Is sportsbetting a coin flip?" I say absolutely not. If it were no one could be a pro at it.

I do more than chase... I also listed my own picks in my baseball thread... They came out very well... Also during basketball last year I did not chase and won...

Remember I only bet 2-7 games a week... Last week 5-0.

Deuce I did not say you were losing... and I do not believe it is a coin flip. I agree with Karayilan9... I am satisfied with being a small player by choice... My winnings are on the smaller end...but I have no problem admitting that either... As he said we have to have a high percentage of losers to pay the winners!

In this case it is outsmartting the dunce he is playing against. The other side of the spectrum there is no control factor.

Even playing BJ or Roulette, there is strategy but you have no control over what happens. In poker there is more control.

My baseball picks went 26-5-2 this year...the rest as listed were chase picks... Also remember I do not use the same betting system as Morrison.. Next year in baseball I will continue to win... Believe me...

Most people do flip coins in a sence. Some do not. The number one reason people can't beat sports is not the picking winners part ,it's bank roll management and them letting emotion make thier picks for them.

I learned my lesson on betting every day and kind of alot of games each day. I would have 1 winning week for every 4 losing weeks.

Now what I do is spot bet. I'll bet 1-2 Baseball totals a day or every other day and then during football season Ill only bet a few a day.

When I would bet like 6-7 football games a day, I wasnt very profitable for I would just about break even or lose on juice.

So now I limit my number of games and bet medium plays and a few large instead of betting 6-7 games all small.

Since limiting my plays and spot betting, I havent had a losing week in over 4 months! Been collecting each week.

I also disagree with the notion that you can only win by spot betting. As long as you are betting +EV, volume is your friend.
