did he money on other team? I bet he did but score was like 4 runs apart

I bet umps in MLB will do some shady calls if betting on other team and no body questions them

The ump is just upset for the player getting mad at him on the first strike call and then has it out from him so he calls strike 3 on the next pitch even though it’s a pretty clear ball.

I'm sure some things go on. But it's a matter of degree:

*Strike 3 can be on a borderline pitch.

I saw Canseco rung up on a pitch foot outside. In this College game, he might as well have bounced it in.

For sure. And I just think, man, if you're that much of a baby with such a fragile ego you shouldn't have a job that requires sound judgment

It's an unspoken rule that if you piss off an umpire (or any ref in any sport) you're probably not gonna get many borderline calls in your favor, but this was just insanely egregious. Shouldn't be allowed to umpire after that shit

I see worse strikes called at my daughter's softball tourneys every week. Some of the umpires are borderline blind.

Yeah, he was immediatley suspended.

He's no coming back.

It was pretty clear he had other priorites at that point.

Now if they can only do something about Angel Hernandez.

Already mentioned in this thread.... Ump was going to call any (next) pitch a strike to get him OUT. For some mysterious reason the ump didn't eject the kid. He should of.

Here's the thing with Hernandez, quite possible the worst umpire in the history of MLB, he thinks he's a) above the game, and b) he thinks everything is a racial issue and Manfred fears him and the Umpire Union because Manfred doesn't want to deal with that.

Cowboy Joe West is also a head case, the difference between West and Hernandez though is umpire metrics show West is one of the most consistent strike zone umpire in the history of MLB.
