    Think about this.....
Ok here it is. I understand there are differences in skill levels between NFL quarterbacks. However, I believe it is very difficult to rank and categorize them because they're all working with different tools. Ill take a great offensive line with a mediocre quarterback over a poor offensive line and a great quarterback all day long. As if that alone wasn't enough to make the quarterback rankings a difficult task, you also have to factor into the mix the wide receivers they have at their disposal. If the wide outs continue to drop balls or cannot get open, the quarterback's rating plummets.

I want to know who is the greatest quarterback in NFL hsitory that didn't have the benefit of a great offensive line or great wide outs? It's easy to rattle off names like Elway, Montana, Brady, Starr, Unitas, etc...but these guys played for great teams. What qb's got screwed? My vote, Archie Manning. I want to know who you vote for.

        Your arguement has MANY flaws.

Look at Bradys first year starting with the Patriots when Bledsoe went out with injury. The Pats had NO LINE and NO WR's... yet he made due because he is a naturally talented QB.

Now look at what Roethlisberger had on his recieving core when Maddux went out with an injury and he got the nod... he rattled off 15 straight regular season wins. (Could have easily been 16 had he started game 1, he almost led the Steelers to a comeback in the game when Maddux went out)

Then again we can look at Marino, he had a horrid line and no "great" WR's, he was great because he was naturally talented.

When people look at what are what you call "Great Teams" they are great mostly because of what the QB has done.

You know, you almost did it. You were this close to putting together a cogent thought and I would have remarked, not bad. But you faltered before you even began. You misspelled argument as you went on to capitalize my MANY flaws. Ironic isn't it? Ah, but then you would have to know what irony is in order to appreciate it, which is ironic unto itself. But I digress. You point out Roethlisberger had nobody to throw to but I would submit his receivers were more than adequate and his offensive line was superior. Dan Marino was also the beneficiary of a fine offensive line while possessing the 80's version of the Cardinals Fitzgerald and Boldin in Mark Clayton and Mark Duper.

I fear you have come unarmed once again to a battle of wits. By the way, when was the last time you saw Evelyn Ng? Ah right, August 22, 2008. You never know, she might just think the world is going to explode and you'll be the last man alive. Keep the flame burning!
