Why I picked Wisconsin and not Ball State...

I know nothing about college football but when I made my 10 picks for the 128 man tourney I looked for a huge moneyline AND good line movement. Ball State's line was down from -16 to -15 at some Vegas sports books when I made my picks, I ruled Ball State out immediately (they lost outright today as you probably know).

On the other hand, I took Wisconsin over a bunch of teams like UCLA. Why? Wisconsin's line was up in Vegas from an opener of -14 to -17 meanwhile UCLA was down from an opener of -24 to a low of -19. Since then I've found out that UCLA is a particularly weak play this week.

Sometimes you can pick plays purely on line movement.

Do you think I have a crystal ball? If I knew Ball State was a gonna lose I would have bet my bankroll plus everything I could deposit fading them.

I'm just happy that my method worked. One catastrophe avoided, 10 wins to go.

Except for the fact that I ACTUALLY took Wisconsin over Ball State because of my method. I do have bragging rights. For example, at Loose Lines both Ball State and Wisconsin were -16.5 before the Ball State game started. Most people who know nothing about college football would look at those odds and say the two teams must have equal chances.

But, thanks to my research, not in college football but in the line, I knew instantly that Wisconsin was a good potential play and Ball State was a weaker play and not a potential play for me.
