I always take the points even if it's +3 or less. I bet a lot, not going to lose money over taking ml instead of spread. With that said, I almost always sprinkle on the ml along with the spread. In the long run you come out on top.

I suggest developing some kind of mostly if not all objective threshold at which you will no longer sacrifice price.

The difference to a longer term bottom line can be enormous. Have a cut off where the price is just too much to pay.

Remember, it's all a price. Some of it is converted into points for a spread. It can always be converted back to a moneyline, no matter the size. That said, higher spreads are probably less accurate moneylines wise and afford more room for juice or hold.

But 3 point NFL spreads can be pretty efficient.

I think you guys already have a type of threshold as you are looking at the spread and then deciding just to opt for the ml, or alt line, but understanding the conversions or half point calculations can be helpful.
