A GTBets rep saw this thread and reached out to us to say they have been battling a massive DDOS attack for over a week now.

They say they are doing all they can to fight the good fight.

They’re not the biggest book for sure. That being said, I’ve been using them for at least a couple of years now and I’ve NEVER had any issues with them. The DDOS attacks story is certainly believable. The same thing happened to Bovada back in June and they’re definitely not small time….Just my two cents/opinion.

A bit of an inconvenience as I only have a few thousand left on my RO, and really wanted to finish it by this weekend of the next, but it's happened to BOL before too. Assuming someone's ransoming them and asking them for cryptos if they want the DDOS to stop. Hopefully GT Bets does right by their customers when they have it figured out, but it's happened to big books too.

They must've been getting hit hard because I couldn’t get in at all on Friday, I started getting the cloudfare error on Saturday and was able to log in until around noon and they were down the rest of the day. Looks like they’re up now, I never deposited so it didn’t affect me but I was contemplating the 100% match in the cashier. I usually jump on a 100% cash offer but I still go back to my last withdrawal and the how long it took and getting shorted on top of it. Passing for now.

It’s back up for me. Great book besides this one off dos attack or whatever. Very quick to grade wagers, immediately take the payout money out of your account and processes it quick, great bonuses. Worth a try if you find yourself looking

If Cloudflare have not found a solution in over a week it must be a big time attack I would guess.

I'd assume they will change host service if they cant get on top of it. But I also expect they do not want to let the baddies win and punish the victim business too.

I remember SBR get ddos’d a while back. Site was a mess for a while. I can’t find the thread any longer must’ve been scrubbed like some of the other threads. Did SBR pay the ransom? For data recovery I could see the possibility of paying it but paying it for a Ddos doesn’t seem like a good idea.

Cloudfare is considered (and deservedly so) the leader in DDoS protection.
Without boring you guys to tears with geek terms such as reverse proxy and CDN, almost one quarter of the internet population use Cloudfare products, they handle a staggering four plus million HTTP requests daily.

I know professional bloggers that say Cloudfare has saved their ass on numerous occasions.
Being the geek that I am I checked out their first ever SQL database a couple of months ago when I learned about that.

This is the first I am hearing about this, but if Cloudfare is struggling with this 'attack', it's beyond major, it's serious.
Cloudfare's DDoS prevention rate is close to 100 percent. Not perfect, nobody is, but as close to perfection.

They sent out an email acknowledging the ddos attack and said your information is secure etc etc. this was the most important tidbit of the email.
“Rest assured, we’ll have some nice bonus offers coming once things have stabilized, and though we are not out of the woods yet, we get closer to a permanent solution each hour. Again, thanks for your understanding and support!”
