Why is Greek a top book?
I've been wagering with Sportsbooks for ten years and have never encountered such stupidity. I will win eight grand if the Bears win the Super Bowl from a future bet so I'm trying to hedge the bet via nfl live. I figure if the Bears are up by a touchdown or so I can hedge it. It's too expensive to hedge it before the game with an inflated -250 on the Colts. I asked Greek if the moneyline will be available during the game. They transfered me three times and finally the wagering dept said they did not know. It depends on how the wagering is going. Uh, how will they know if the lines are not up? Maybe I'm spoiled from Pinny, but these guys seem like they are a few french fries short of a happy meal.

Now I can't hedge it. Last year I had Seattle and hedged the bet when the Hawks were up by 3. I had a feeling the refs would screw them because of the Bettis factor. I have a feeling the Manning and Dungy factor will come in play today. Then again it was so obvious the refs screwed Seattle last year maybe they will have to call it down the middle.

Bears should win this. Dome teams are bad on grass and the Colts are not the whole AFC. This is similiar to when the Packers were favored by 12.5 over Denver in 97' for no reason but the NFC won 13 in a row. Denver was a better team on paper and showed it. I think the Bears are slightly better though it would be nice to Griese, Harris and Brown playing.

doesn't surprise me. A full juice book is not a pro book, imo. These low risk, quick collar, know-nothing service, low liquidity, high juice, unprofessional operations are a sad joke. With a reasonable US government policy- we could have it all.

Is the above comment an accurate description of The Greek?

They are definetly a top book. You don't have many options anymore... Greek is far better than CRIS, then there's Matchbook and 5Dimes, and that's about all there is.

no- not all of it. It's a commentary on the patchwork collection we have to work with now. Greek charges full juice- and cust svc is often silly. Pinnacle was an example of what we could have- and potentially we could have even more.

The Greek had a constant money line up throughout the whole game, something that they don't normally do on live betting. The live betting they offer on regular season games usually just consists of spread and O/U about 90% of the time, but last nites game had a money line all the way thru, so hopefully he found a line good enough to hedge as early in the game (tho only for a very brief period) the colts were a slight dog.

No, because of their stupidity I am about two grand short. I would have put two grand on the Colts to win when it was 7-0 and the moneyline was even. I didn't send the two grand in because they gave me the impression they would probably not have the moneyline up for the live betting. I won about five grand this year from betting on the games, but that extra two would have made it better.

Their rating needs to be evaluated. I have dealt with top books for ten years and never dealt with such stupidity. How can they not know if they will put a moneyline up until the game starts? Their reponse was they wanted to see what bets were coming in. How can they come in when the lines are not up for the moneyline?

I just hope there are some decent books to bet with next year.

I appreciate all of the help. This is a great forum.
