It works because you are picking a favorite at -140 which means you would have to lay down 70 points to to win 50 (or if you were gonna bet 140 points to win 100 to make it more clear, but i don't have that many points to bet), while I am picking an underdog at +132 so If I laid down my 50 I would win 66 points.
