Another "tough" loss by abe ....
I thought I had it made on last's night's,another SUICIDAL PRO EXHIBITION game with Minn/Houston !
It brings back memories of the 70's and 80's with me and my "rabid" gambling pals at the ol' work factory ,after getting score off the local radio on a High School game,which we bet the living "hell" out of back then, someone would shout "THAT'S YOU BABY",meaning, that you got a good one ,"score" that is !
Well I am confessing a loss here and that can be quite hard on your ego you know ?
I was nervously watching the CBS scoreboard for the second half of last nights[suicidal] Houston game . And man I badly need Houston to do "something" in this second half....like score !
The first thing I see is that Houston is already on the Minnesota's 12 yd line with 2nd. and 6 I believe,and I "jinxley" hollered out "that's you baby",because whatever they do score ,a field goal or touchdown,I will be in great shape,I mean in super shape !
Well, after checking the score about 45 minutes later I see nothing but those numbing ZEROS on the board .
What the hell happened to HOUSTON ?{someone please post me on that one ?]
And I waited for another 25 minutes again ,getting scared "shless" by now,before checking the latest score .Again ,nothing but zeros .
Now reality has set in , what a loser HOUSTON is ![and me]
Okay, this morning I and in the "recovery stage" !
I am sure every gambler goes through that one ?
Now,after a decent night's sleep, I am ready to courageously move forward,forget the lousy luck,God awful pick,and go to war with those "chalk" favorites ,the BOOKIES !
And as all the dust now has settled ,this turns out to be nothing more than a simple gambler's tale .
And there will be many more before the shouting's done ![but no more "THAT'S YOU BABY !"
