I'm talking about AJ Liebling's "The Sweet Science" - 1956, Roger Kahn's "The Boys of Summer" - 1971 or Jim Boutons "Ball Four" - 1970. None of these phony baloney sports books. I don't even know where you buy the books they review these days. Legends, Pinnacle, Carib and the one I was looking forward to reading, The Greek. Nowhere to be found. Oh well, I guess I'll have to keep looking. Anyway, welcome to SBR. The language can be a bit salty but the site sure is shweeeet!

So much happens in 15 days...

General, thank you because quite honestly, I don't understand why they don't understand. It's a joke. I'm pretending to be an old bastard who is talking about SBR reviewing real BOOKS (the kind you read...I know, it's a new concept to you guys). And now they've switched to reviewing Sportsbooks (as in betting ) and he still thinks this site reviews BOOKS (once again, the kind you read). Dear God, I know this is a sports site but can we strain the brain just a tad every now and again here boys. I guess if you have to explain a joke it's not worth telling. I gotta start posting somewhere else.
