It does cost the books to transfer the funds to other books. However, If a book charges to one of there sister books then thats true gouging. I believe Cris charges like $25 to do a book-to-book transfer with DSI. Now thats what I call price gouging!Originally posted by Doug

WSEX did take a double hit from the Neteller situation due to Pinnacle money. After the Neteller founders were arrested US players wanted their money out of Neteller and sent it to the top books like WSEX. They made a smart move having WSEX eat their Neteller liability. Most sportsbooks already had a loaded Neteller account for the end of the year exits, so you could say WSEX was hit four times.Originally posted by marc

Players are right to ask questions and can't be blamed for being nervous. We have books that never flinched before now giving the same reasons for not paying that were always dismissed as excuses from low rated books. It doesn't help when a clerk is not skilled enough to communicate a complicated situation.
In the past if a book had a problem with a transfer method or if a method tanked, they were always expected to pony up through a different method, a backup plan, and rightfully so. With the back up for the backup's backup no longer an option, the problems the books are now facing are unique, even from one book to the next. It requires some creativity in the short term.
Yes, there are some books who are in trouble because their bankroll is in Neteller. WSEX is not one of those. For the top books, the car is gassed up with the money inside but the usual roads are out of service. The need to redraw a map and are doing that now.
As already mentioned, WSEX is confident they will be able to get it done next week. Their plan for the short term and long term should keep WSEX running like the industry leader it is. Players who continue with the indistry after the dust settles will need to get used to longer routes from point A to B and of course, stick with books that wouldn't let a setback be an excuse for not paying.Comment -

Never received check from WSEX from December 2006
Received checks early and late December of 2006. Last check received was for a withdrawal on December 24th. STILL WAITING FOR MY WITHDRAWAL FROM DECEMBER 27TH FROM WSEX!!!

I am pretty much screwed...just waiting it out, but everyday I wait for the mailman and the check is not there!! Plus the withdrawals from early January are not there either, lol!!
Typically the checks arrive in around 2 to 3 weeks. I have been getting them, every single one of them from WSEX, for a few years now.
However, truth is I am yet to receive a very large withdrawal from December 27th from WSEX. Today is February 3rd. I am in USA...it cannot come tomorrow as there is no mail...

Never ask for a large withdraw via mail. Its just too risky. Ask WSEX what their policy is on lost checks. I think after 6 weeks I would ask them to cancel the check and send you a new one. This time ask for a Fed Ex WD.Comment -

Wsex sent me my fedex withdrawal after complaining on this forum - an employee of WSEX named WSETECH helped me get it "faster" than normal - I guess because WSEX didn't like the bad publicity. They also refunded my $30 withdrawal fee.Comment -

Still NOTHING from WSEX...waiting for over $6000 in checks. As of today, February 10th, 4 of these withdrawals are OVER a month old. Three checks are over 5 weeks old. One check is from late December 2006, last year.
Last Monday, I spoke to Barbara in accounting. She promised that if I did not receive the checks in the coming week (last week), she would cancel all checks that are coming, and send an immediate Fed Ex.
During the past week, wsetech did try to help. He emailed me a few times and did seem to be working on this. However, my situation with receiving money from WSEX is unresolved.
My account statement does show activity such as accounting adjustment and then bank check several times during the week. It seems whenever a person inquires, this is what occurs to my account statement.
I just called and was discouraged. I was again told checks were sent, there was a problem with the processor, and to be expecting checks in a week or two.
However, I have been told this same story a long time ago, the same thing.
On Monday, I will call Barbara from accounts. Hopefully she will step to the plate and honor her words from last Monday, that if no checks arrive during this current week, she will cancel all checks being processed and immediately send a Fed Ex.
I did call yesterday after I saw activity on my account statement. I was specifically told that a Fed Ex was issued. When I asked for the tracking number, I was told it would be available (the tracking number) after 5PM on Saturday.
I just got done calling WSEX accounting, and as stated previously, was told checks would be coming in a week or two. I was told there was NO FEDEX, which contradicts what I was told yesterday.
It seems my hope of receiving these checks for over $6000 rests in Barbara. She promised me on Monday, to call her, and she would cancel all checks, and immediately issue a Fed Ex for the entire amount.
I will post the results of my talking to Barbara on Monday, and hopefully on Tuesday I will be able to post that I received my money. Whatever happens, I will be posting it on Monday and Tuesday of next week regarding receiving payments from WSEX. Hopefully I can report that I have received all of my checks in full, hopefully.Comment -

Seriously JC's posts are major turnoffs.....I would expect someone running a book to be slightly more polite and respectful of the frustration that individuals are experiencing especially when you have a record as great as WSEX's there is nothing to hide. I mean really the name calling should be left to posters not a guy who runs an esteemed sportsbooks. It's not a sham book by any stretch and you will eventually get paid....it is one of the top 3/5 books out there and their track record is as close to 100%...even the exceptional books like WSEX are having to figure things out in these times of transition.

Wsex Paid In Full!!!
On Monday morning, I received a Fed Ex from WSEX. It was for a bit over $2000.
Later that same day, in the afternoon mail, 4 checks came. They paid me in full over $6000.
Communication was superb and I look forward to more wagering with them in the future.

When Neteller started to go down, I dumped money to WSEX, Olympic, and Cris. Both WSEX and Olympic offered to return funds to my new neteller account or via wire to Canada. Cris sent a wire. I took all 3 up on wires due to neteller uncertainties.
These books likely paid even though what I deposited is prob still stuck in neteller. They are top notch. I have used them for years, and trust them like I trust Citibank. Actually, I'd feel less likely to get ripped off by WSEX than my bank.
The problem is the US gov.
These books face a ton of withdrawals. They have the money. They are spacing them because if somehow the gov seizes them, they'd rather lose 5% than 50% in one day. I can't blame them. Open a Can bank account and they will get your money to you tomorrow.

Listen to yourselves... You're saying the day before the government put this law in motion the books were safe and financially sound but a day or week later because of this law they are now BROKE..? Slash's point is well taken... Why can these books still access Neteller for non US clients rather smoothly..? It's obvious there is nothing wrong with the books and likely that they have to follow new regulations for US clients... This takes time and to tell people would spook them even more then they are now....Comment
