Tourney loves doing stuff like that…they always try to get cute too….like ex coaches/players playing against their former teams. Zags in the same bracket as the two teams that beat them this year, plus Memphis, who has given them trouble in the past.Comment -
I was getting flashbacks to the 2006 Tournament ... Iowa was riding high, had just won the Big Ten Tournament and that year the committee bumped them up to a 3 seed when they should have been only about a 5 ... on St. Patrick's Day I was at an Iowa bar in the Kansas City area, they blow a big second half lead and lose on a fadeaway corner 3 by Northwestern State ... everyone was yelling, "Fire Alford!". It took a year, but they finally did, hiring Todd Lickliter ... he did nothing, now McCaffery, rinse and repeat
