I disagree. I was hoping he'd be Madden's replacement. I was glad to see him leave FOX's pregame show panel years ago, I thought he was way too classy for such a spot. I liked his work on Inside the NFL, NFL Network, CBS, he's not some unintelligible former player of the game, and his cadence is quite good.

He will have the Sunday Night job locked up for a long, long time.

I would rather have Madden in there. Sure he says some pretty obvious things from time to time, but Madden and Micheals go well together.

At least he's not blathering on and on like Buck and Aikmen did during the Buc's game on thursday. 45 minute weather delay, 20 minutes was spent talking about their fantasy football draft. Joe Buck needs to go away.

My opinion is not based on his knowledge of football.

My wife even hates Collinsworth. "This asshole again!" Every Sunday.

He just comes across like a guy you would really like to punch in the face, but won't, because you know he would sue you. Even if he was in the wrong.

Also seems like a guy who you would never win an argument with. Even if he was in the wrong.

He seems like he would be more at home as the side line reporter for the Republican national convention.

Why not just put Bill Walton and Doc Rivers in there...

Who does the hiring for these announcers? It's ridiculous. There is a strong possibility you could take a homeless can collector off the street and he'd fit in great w/ alll the *********** they throw in the booth.

that is so true.nothing like getting input from guys who played the game but the one thing that fries my potatoes is when the are up in the booth and telling us what the coach is telling them,,,that is the biggest bunch of crap ive ever heard.i played football and i dont know any coach that would stand there and talk to there player in the heat of battle calm as hell and talking proper.anybody who as ever played sports knows.thats when the coach turns into a man u never knew he could turn into,,,the heat of the battle

Not sure why people are mentioning Kornheiser as far as Sunday night goes, probably since ESPN used to do the Sunday night game, but Sunday Night foots are now what Monday Night Foots used to be. At least I've always considered the Monday's w/ Madden & Michaels the best game to watch, for the past (two?) years it's been Sunday night.

Kornheiser is not 1/100th of the broadcaster Collinsworth is. Michaels+Collinsworth will only get better as time goes on and they gain more experience working with one another, they're both outstanding.

seems like evry year ,the celebrity announcer really sukk but i have an idea..how bout bill murray,hes always entertaining and never know what he would say or do,it would be an improvement on dennis miller
