If it affects ratings, the nfl will work on it

If it happens in a super bowl, kc vs rams coin flip winner gets a td. Integrity of the game blaa blaa

They should go back the old rules or maintain the same rules. Enough with the changes already. Also never have a playoff game on Monday night ever again. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

How about the team that lost the coin toss to start the game automatically wins the toss for overtime? I'm all for that.

Or maybe the team who had the lead last gets to choose offense or defense first?

That sums it up! Buff had many chances to get a stop, anything other than an FG and we play on. Keep KC out of the end zone and Allen gets his shot - couldn't come through!

KC Defense and Bills Offense didn't even touch the ball. What if on opening OT kickoff the player runs it back?
College football playoffs seem alot more fair.

either change it by giving each team a guaranteed possession followed by sudden death

or don't change anything but award first possession based on a performance metric... like the team who gains more Net Yards in regulation or something to that effect

Team A scores a TD. Team B scores a TD. Team A scores 'something'...and wins. Team B loses and still never had a chance to win in OT.

sure they did. Team B could've gone for 2, or their defense could've actually gotten a stop once..

Put the ball in midfield. Each team lines up in their endzone goaline. On the refs whistle they run towards the ball. Whoever grabs the football gets the ball first in OT.

yes... both teams deserve a chance with ball especially in play offs..

absolutely unfair the way it stands at the moment.

                                My idea for overtime:

                                1.) 10 minutes sudden death
2.) field goals are not allowed so the only way to win is with a touchdown or safety
3.) if still no one has scored after 1st overtime, then play continues with another overtime period but punting is also not allowed

Would not have changed the result for the Bills but I don't care about that and both teams having to possess the ball. Defense is part of the game and if you can't stop your opponent from getting a touchdown then you should lose

YES there should never be tied games in NFL they never have tied games in college foots so far 100% even as far back as CHIEFS 1966 had tieed game got crushed by packers in sb 49ers had tied game and got buried alive by Ravens as a 4.5 chalk

eliminate tied games same rule if any team scores a TD 1st they win or if both kick fg's then next score wins if still tied then game goes on untill somebody wins

Hey bozo, the regular season OT rules remain unchanged, and you never could tie in the postseason anyways, all that's happening is guaranteeing each team a possession in overtime so you don't have another Chiefs/Bills situation where Josh Allen never touched the ball after regulation.
