I have shitty squibs though where the ball gets grabbed cleanly by the 2nd line. Imagine the shit Buffalo gets if the guy gets to the 40 and burns 3 seconds.

Yeah, you need a good kicker that know how to squib into that last line of defense. They should have got this kid to kick.

But Fred and Seattle gave the real strategy once the ball was in play. Just tackle them at the LOS. Which is not so easy BTW. Those receivers are experts at getting off the line without being held/tackled.

Yes, a normal squib kick midway through the game may have taken 5 seconds but when the other team knows they only have 14 seconds, there is no way they are going to run around for 5 seconds. And its not like they had to play sidelines defense to stop the Out of bounds play because the Chiefs had the timeouts with such little time left anyway. So, they certainly should of clogged up the middle of the field. 100% and actually allowed the sideline routes moreso. No excuse for middle of field to be open like that.

We'll never know what would have happened if Buffalo had hit some kind of squib kick with :13 left, but there was plenty of bad football in the final few minutes of this game. In the end, the Bills could not overcome bad coaching that went along with bad playing.

Maybe you don't understand the game. A squib kick takes time off the clock. Plus a nice squib kick would be downed around the 10 to 15 yard line not come out to the 25 yard line. That was a horrible play call by the Bills coaching and it lost them the game for sure.

You don't want to short kick it and allow them to jump on it. What you want to do is bounce where it dies inside the 15. But yes, I agree that you need to try that.
