NFL Wild Card Picks and Write-Ups

Probably could've just rolled with a 6 team home ML parlay. SF is the only one I see with a good shot. Arizona couldn't even beat Seattle at home w/the division on the line or INdy with half their team out. Rams have tried to buy a team and that never seems to win a SB, but should be enough to beat Arizona. Oh well. Woulda shoulda coulda

The Rams didn't win with the division on the line either and Seattle when healthy was still a solid team. Arizona's weakness is the rush defense, the Rams do not run the ball well, Seattle ran very well in that game.

I keep my playoff record seperate every year in every sports thread. All bets are still to win 5 units unless otherwise stated. I have regular season and playoff futures pending and they will be graded in my regular season or playoff thread depending on what kind of bets they were.

Bills -3.5 -115 - The Patriots peaked midseason, the Bills are peaking now. The Patriots only beat the Bills in Buffalo because of the 50 mile winds that made it almost impossible to throw. Teams have figured out how to defend Mac Jones and the Patriots defense has been inconsistent the second half of the year. The Patriots cleaned up against weaker teams all year but couldn't beat any of the top teams with the exception of the weather game against Buffalo I just mentioned. Allen plays at a different level in big games because he will run more since he's more willing to risk injury in big games at the end of the year.

Bengals-Raiders over 49.5 - The Raiders defense had some decent games early in the year, and the defensive line is solid but the Raiders defense is bad, the Bengal should move the ball easier. Waller is back for the Raiders and they have adjusted to Ruggs being out. The Bengals defense has been inconsistent, giving up 41 to the Chargers and 30 to an inconsistent Chiefs offense.

Tampa Bay -5.5 - Jalen Hurts hasn't had a single good game when the Eagles haven't been able to run and Tampa Bay's run defense is elite. The loss of Brown and Goodwin will likely hurt the Bucs against better defenses, but the Eagles defense has struggled on the road and the defensive line of the Eagles hasn't been as good in the second half of the season. The Bucs offense looked fine without Brown and Goodwin against Carolina. The Eagles also rested almost all their key starters on offense the final week of the season and likely will start slow here.\

Cowboys-49ers Under 51 - The Cowboys defense has looked great since Lawrence and Gregory came back the final month of the season and the Cowboys offense has struggled the second half of the year, Dak's big game against the Eagles was against 3rd string players. The 49ers want to run the ball and slow the game down, they don't want to get in a shootout. The Cowboys run defense is solid despite the Arizona game, and the 49ers don't have the passing game Arizona does, Dallas will be able to load the box.

Arizona +4 - Arizona's weakness is their run defense, but the Rams running game is weak. Murray plays better in big games because he's more willing to run and risk injury. Arizona's pass defense is strong and the Rams can't run the ball consistently. Stafford has always struggled against good defenses with turnovers, the pressure is all on Stafford and the Rams here, Arizona's season is a success just getting to the playoffs with this young team.

This is not directed at you (TRob may remember)
Before you came here I used to write up eight paragraph MLB posts four times a week, every week.
Tracking plays, the whole nine.

I quit doing that here, because guys like Benny Big Nuts and Big Bear etc. used to spam them non stop.
I still do extensive MLB writing, just not here anymore.
