I don't disagree. People are using any and all outlets right now to express frustration.

And for clarification, this thread wasn't about any one person, or even just this forum. Just my observation of the broader landscape.

Is there serious talk, in game talk, yes. But it easily gets drowned out by the endless threads just like this that serve no purpose to why this forum exists. And beyond that, we have guys playing devils advocate all day, or arguing for months on end. These people troll all day. And then other people come in and take the bait and troll back. Its a weird dynamic in general.

Will be interesting to see the new SBR. Whatever changes are in store Im in favor of. Time for a facelift

Amazing USA sports wagering has a couple of its biggest months ever, yet all the sports wagering message boards are dying off. Sounds like a new business model is needed to attract all these new players. Apparently they aren’t interested in sites where all that happens is they get attacked by the resident posters who are mostly still using offshore, me included

This place can’t seem to decide whether it’s a onshore or offshore site, maybe that’s a lot of the problems here. My guess is if another onshore based company really bought this place there is going to come a time where even mentioning offshore will get you banned

Twitter has replaced the forums. Forums are just the old guys. Gamblers on twitter try to get status by who they follow and who follows them. It's a big social club like a forum. You've got to somehow incorporate twitter and get people to the site for contests and such.

That's because twitter operates like a forum. You have your group of friends that you post at and then you get trolls that don't like what you have to say or make fun of your losing picks. It is the new forums.

Most people only care about politics. If you want to have a successful gambling forum, you want a political forum.

Problem with Twitter is it's a mess these days.

Mostly tout and tout-types. You can figure out some good guys there but the culture there is not like it is in forums.

Lot of the laypeople on twitter are posting about their ten team prop parlays that missed by one because Brook Lopez didn’t suck off his brother for long enough or some other similar stat that failed to come in for them. Most likely age, or years in the game, that separates the gambling talk you see in social media and forums. We’re just more seasoned around here

SBR just needs to be updated, it was pretty much state of the art as far as forums go when I first started a dozen or so years ago, the technology here just needs to catch up.
