Boy what a great movie this could have been .
Was this war story based on quite a lot of fiction ?
Tarantino directed this one,and if it not based on genuine events and people,then I don't understand "why in the devil " would he want the STAR of the movie to look,act and talk like LIL' ABNER from the MOUNTAINS of Tennessee ?
Because that's exactly what BRAD PITT appeared to be ?
This movie does have a solid war story ,mostly concerning the GERMAN regime's hatred and unbelievable cruelty toward the JEWS !
There was some super acting,especially the GERMAN officer who played a major role .
This man can ACT !
The story ,I thought ,ended pretty stupidly because this same brilliant GERMAN OFFICER was "dumb enough" to fall for an rather stupid trick at the end ?
No way that would happen !
Because the type of Officer he played [a ruthless killer], he would'nt even have trusted his own MOTHER ,yet ,you are supposed to believe he trusted ,Brad Pitt, the leader of an equally cold blooded gang of German slaughters, as was the S.S. of GERMANY ?
I give it a 7/10 rating !
