Two universities in my town and it's party central before classes start

i live 10 yards from Houston Baptist (NAIA)

i am a deacon at 2nd baptist on the weekends and make stuffed footballs during the week

I'm in the center of Boston. Kinda crazy with BC, BU, Northeastern, Harvard, MIT, and 8+ other small schools all moving in this weekend.

I'm out in Waltham, Atlantic! Brandeis is right down the street and a lot of Bentley students around also. Way more crazy in Boston, though - lots of double parking always going on around those schools when it's move-in time.

Waltham, MA - We got Brandeis and Bentley here. Not enough pizza joints that deliver after midnight though Only a couple of places in the whole town to buy beer as well

It's not cheap, Slim! I went there part time for my masters degree over 6.5 years. Now that it's a university that means even more dough.

fridays are hell, slow on campus but all the departments want to ship EVERYTHING on fridays... which blows
but the sights on campus are wonderful, especially with the nice weather if you catch my drift

Bentley might be the most improved university around here in the last decade, Atlantic. When I started there it was 1997 and by the time I was done in 2003, everything was so much more upgraded. They tried to make technology a big niche with business and it paid off - lots more donations and growth. It'll never be up there with Harvard or anything, but it's getting to be in a ballpark pretty close.

Sounds like it, dawg! I had the chance to go to Georgia Tech and I turned it down to stay in the northeast. Probably would have changed my whole life if I had gone with GT. It was back in 1992 when they just upgraded a lot in Atlanta for the Olympics. Would have been sweet.

Look no further then when ESPN GAMEDAY broadcasted from there for Iowa game vs. Ohio State...........many at ESPN stated it was the best GAMEDAY they ever experienced.

Side note, IOWA got crushed.....

KINNICK STADIUM is one of the most underrated venues in all of CFB......been saying that for years.

I hope to take my girlfriend this year to the MICH-IOWA night game in week six........going if Iowa begins the season 3-0.

When I was younger and into going out and about it was insane here. Still is, it is hard to explain unless you live here. You would be in awe if you were here.
