Why can lotteries not be competitive?
I mean they have something called a pick 3 that pays 500-1 when it should pay 1000-1, why not allow competitive lotteries that would prolly pay 800-1

500-1 odds on a true 1000-1 shot has to be the biggest takeout in history for any gambling bet, basically for every dollar they take in they keep 50 cents

Would you take an absolutely even money bet at -200 odds? Hell thats not gambling thats just throwin money away

You flip a coin, heads you win 500, tails you lose a 1000, how long do you think it would be assuming a fair coin before you go broke?

And this is the type of gambling that is "legal" in this country

Why? Because it is a government monopoly, and government hands out gambling licenses.

In Ontario a bottle of vodka is $29, why? Because the Government sells booze.

If people are going to pay for it then why wouldn't you do it? Yeah the money goes to the government, it's also used for things states have to pay for, i.e. construction projects.

That's what makes the whole Delaware sports betting issue so ridiculous. It's legal for the state to take your money when you're gambling on a random set of numbers, but illegal if you're gambling on sports. Perfectly logical.
