I was watching the US Amateur golf tourney just now and this guy was 2 down with 2 to play and comes back to tie it and they tee of on the playoff hole and are walking down the fairway to decide the match and the announcer goes well we've run out of our alotted time sorry folks have a nice day and they flip over to the middle of the 2nd rd of the Barclays tourney WHILE THE GUYS ARE ABOUT TO HIT THEIR 2ND SHOTS INTO THE PLAYOFF HOLE AND ITS SUDDEN DEATH

I mean they're about to decide who won the match they've been showing for the last 2 hours and then run out of time, can you believe this shit?

Tiger has this putt to win the Grand Slam its a tricky 10 footer, oh boy well sorry we've run out of our alotted time you can just read about it in the newspaper tomorrow

Its 4th and goal in the NFC championship they're down 5 with 10 secs left oh man this really is gonna draw some dirty looks we miscalculated the time and cant show ya the next couple mins, well anyway we're gonna send you over to the 1st inning of the Mets/Nats game instead, we dont want ya to miss a second of that so we have to stay precisely on schedule

Horse racing is treated like this regularly. Game runs long, then a postgame interview or two, and voila, no time to show the race. Or God forbid there's a delay running the race, no way do they stay past the allotted time.

Fukin sick I mean do the ppl in charge of TV not understand that the most important part of a close match is the ending, ppl have become invested in the match by then theyve watched it for an hour or two and have seen the leads go back and forth and want to see who finally steps up in the end and comes out on top, hell its the most pressure packed and critical final point in the match and they say whoops we've run out of time

I mean fuk if you've run out of time cut out the first few mins of the next program, you dont cut out the final outcome deciding moment of the current one
