As of now, yes. DK and FD are backing a petition to get a sports betting amendment on the ballot for next year, last I saw they've invested $10 million each. Need 900,000 signatures by Feb 2022. They've been running tv ads during football games, using scare tactics to convince people to vote against letting "outsiders" come into the state and take advantage of the citizens. All bullshit. There's also a hearing for a federal lawsuit in the next few days.


That said, I checked a few lines on Hard Rocks website, specifically soccer. Similar markets to what I get at Betcoin, and the lines are the same for the few I checked (both teams to score, ml/total bets, etc.). Small sample but not bad. Desktop and mobile. Name phone address city state last 4 of ss # just the normal stuff. Deposit was through Plaid which verified my bank account like coin base does. I’ve seen nothing as far as what they are reporting to anyone. No problem getting a live person on the phone either, live chat was typical not much help, but it’s new to everyone.

As of the last count they only have 7% of the signatures needed to get on the ballot. DK sent me a petition a few months ago which I signed but it’s not looking good sitting at 7%

Whether sports betting is classified as Class 3 is up for debate, there are contradictions in the language and the federal laws. The state purposely worded the Amendment in ways to avoid these issues, but may have opened the door for bigger problems down the road. There's plenty of articles by reputable sources online, too much to get into here. Whether DK, FD, etc. do business here soon isn't the issue. Creating a State sanctioned monopoly through bullshit politics and lies is.

Yeah, it doesn't look good at this point. People don't care unless something affects them personally. My problem with Amendment 3 is it was sold as putting the vote directly in the hands of the citizens as opposed to the legislature voting directly. Sounds good until you dig in and see all the requirements that need to be met, the hoops to jump through to even get something on the ballet. It's a fukn' joke, and the Tribe/Disney knew it. Doesn't matter their ads were misleading and in some cases straight up lies, they were effective. Money rules, average joe pays.
