How are the -110 books still in business? I am getting +104 when other places have -110, etc.

Anyone making straight wagers is throwing THOUSANDS at the window on a yearly basis(some monthly) by not wagering at MB.

Just for example...last "late fall" there was an English Sportsbook,very similar to Matchbook ...they closed without much as a whimper,all within one weeks time period .
It was a "great" place to play too,but, I will admit ,they seemed a little "wilder" with there lines than Matchbook .

ABE, your right, there is ALWAYS risk playing offshore.....with any shop.

I will say this, if you dont know what you are doing, matchy will eat you alive. the best advice i can give to each poster here who plays at matchy is unless it's 5 min before game time, DO NOT make any offers ever..just take what's there, trust me.. if you want to make offers at 3 pm, forget it, you will get eaten alive by the sharks. just bet what's there and swallow the 1%.. it's still better than pinny or any book combined.

Forget making offers at 11am, going out, seeing your games move 20 cents the other way and guys matchiing your weak number....not worth it

You might just be too young and haven't payed [lost] enough dues yet ?
See if Fishead" will try to give you a "tip" or two ?
If ,indeed, you are under 25 yrs. old ...here's a jolt to your gambling system...YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO WIN !
And if you decide to spend hour after hour and day after day studying "how" not to lose ,then your odds will swing back to ,maybe,50/50 !

you now have it downpatted.. to a tee.

at 650pm, you make an offer, and bam, it gets matched fast..(usually).. but if you make an offer at 11 am, it might take it 3 hrs to get matched, and when it does, line will shoot down against you.. they only accept offers when it goes their way. if it goes your way,it wont get matched..

my early days at matchy, i'd put up 15 offers at noon, come back at 7 pm, and 11 of the 15 games that were matched are now 12 cents against me, and the 4 that were not matched was because line went my way.. the sharks left it alone..
