    Blackjack protocol: Was I right?
Game is proceeding without much fanfare until the dealer gets to the last player, who decides he wants to split his kings against the dealer's 4.

I know why he wanted to do it, but I piped up and got a little PO'd.

As it turned out, he drew another king and won all three hands, but the dealer got to 21 and cost everyone else at their tables their wagers.

It's the player's money and he can do whatever he wants with it, I guess, but at what point do you say something?

How did he win all 3 hands if the dealer got to 21?

      Wait a minute.

The dealer hit 21, and he won all three hands? How'd that happen?

You summed it up. It is his money.

He wants to take the split or take an additional card when maybe he shouldn't---it is his call.

as far as blackjack protocol you shouldn't do it, its almost like a team game. At the blackjack table you don't play ME. because when the dealer busts everyone wins

My mistake. Must be old age. Dealer must have drawn to 19 or 20; I do know he won three hands and everyone else at the table lost.

            Sorry.

Anyone can do whatever they want. As a card counter, I've done everything - surrendered hands, doubled down or split when the count was right, even hit 12's or 13's against a 5 or 6. Everyone is risking their own money and if everyone else wants to leave after losing, there's a bunch of others waiting to sit down.

Exactly reload. Do what ya want. I have hit 12 or 13 against a 4-5-6 if I just had a "feeling"----if I lost, oh well. My money.

I love the look people would give me when I hit a soft 18 against the dealers X card.

Every player should do whatever they want. Beauty of blackjack is if you don't like it you can call him a cunt and move to another table.
