Nick Saban could have been a great NFL coach, but he needs that complete control. Jimmy Johnson was same. You see some of these guys like Gruden, Belicheck, Arians, Reid who just eat, sleep and shit football cerebrally, they aren’t in it to have control over people...that’s what you need in NFL. Urban seems like he’s in it for the power and control, big difference, nfl players pick up on it quick and don’t respond unless you have a very strong personality.

I don't think it is about power and control. All of those want power and control. College is a different skill. College is about recruiting. Meyer was a great college coach. He made a real difference. Mack Brown is a great college coach. He can turn around any program. He can't coach in the NFL though.

Belichek would be a terrible college coach.

Certain coaches just have an ability to evaluate players and make roster decisions that are way above the level of the typical coach. That is something totally different from college coaching.

It applies across all sports. Dusty Baker wins everywhere he goes in baseball. The stats guys don't like him. But he has got something. I don't know what it is but he is good.

It is a different ability. It's why Belichek's assistants don't work out. It does not matter whether you have worked with Belichek. The only thing that will get you Belichek is Belichek.

The next 2 games are CRUCIAL for UM. They play the Titans and the Dolphins, both 2 teams they have a great chance of beating. If they lose AT HOME to both of these beatable teams, he is done. Jax would be 0-6 but the next games...? At Seattle, Bills, Colts, 49ers. Jax would be at 0-10. I bet you the owner Khan is looking at a way to get rid of UM for cause.
