Khan issued a statement indicating that Meyer is safe for now. You have to imagine that preparations for titans game will not be priority #1. The players already hate him so can imagine this adds fuel to the fire. The titans are not world beaters by any means but this gives them a huge advantage.

I don't think this is that big of a deal outside of the fact that he skipped the plane home to play with the girlies.

That is something the team does not respect and he came to them with a classic apology like they were a bunch of college kids. If he had gone in there and told them the truth, they probably would have respected him. But they know he is not up to the job because he does not have the dedication. They are working their asses off year round and know what time coaches put in and Meyer is not doing it. He is trying to get by like a college coach.

He probably survives the season and this blows over but he has lost the respect of the NFL and he will not be getting any college job if he wants one. Maybe in a couple of years for a hard up program willing to humiliate themselves.

The owner still believes because they are not real smart. He can still pull it out but I don't think he is willing to do what has to be done to be a winner.

Jumping from college is not that big of a deal. Kliff Kingsbury did it and has been successful and his hiring was considered a joke. You can be sure the players were not too confident. But Kingsbury is a psycho. He is all about winning. He was putting in the time so he got respect.

It is not going to have any impact this week. NFL players never quit. They play hard even when you would expect them to phone it in.

It is just a matter of Meyer moving on and getting command of the organization. If the players think he is in it to win it, they will play hard for him and he will be judged by what kind of team he can put together.

This thing blows over pretty fast. The media is not going to touch it.
