I don't know about taking all the big ML favorites but certainly anyone who doesn't take the -45000 line as their 3 unit play is just not being smart. A few of the other big numerals are also no-brainers.

I don't know about just taking the 16 biggest ML faves though. I'd have to have a look. It wouldn't work every week.

I agree with this. It's suppose to be a handcapping contest, everyone will take USC ML, Texas ML, Penn St ML, etc... so it's not really a capping contest. Take away the college MLs and it now becomes a legit contest.

The actual problem is the units risked in placing the favorites. By right, everyone should be given 16 units to place the bets. If you place 1 unit on -45000 favorite, you get 0.0022 units.

To ease the grading, I understand the need for risking 1 unit for the underdogs and winnning 1 unit for the favorites. But, you are using the software to do the grading now. Why can't you change that format to risking a unit for every bet?

I think the college ML's were a good twist. It's hard to go 10 for 10 no matter what...There's a major upset or 2 every 1st week. You guys cry about every thing but it's the same for all of us. They are allowed. There aren't any restrictions as far as what contestants can pick, anything the software accepts and the min/max per round is fair game.

Hard to change a contest once it's started. And there is Iwin complaining her went 14 and 2 and won't advance. Of course not you retard..... you were only +6 units.....

say someone is behind by 2.5 units. and they have 2 plays left. they are pretty much in a situation where both of their picks have to win. so why pick 2 different games? just play the game you like the most on the rl and ml. 1 loss on the ml loses the contest anyway. and if you win the rl bet, you win the ml bet by default, so it would be no different than if you were originally behind by only 1.5 units.
