it seems like its done at the end/beginning of the day. I think someone is in charge of it and presses an "accept" button when the system says "hey duece gets his 15 points"

I am pretty sure they are done with posting count. Bill Dozer posted something about it in a thread. I think now you get 2 points for logging in and 5 points for one post a day. Then either contests or betting with others is the other ways to earn points.

Mex, last I read u get 15 per 50 max 15 per 24 hours on post count.

Correct, points given automatically just for posting are a thing of the past. There are the daily activity points, contest points, and other points forthcoming but none will be given just for simply posting X amount of times in a day.
