    FUKK Goodwill and Salvation Army
I loaded up my boys truck with (2) full size bed sets including frame, end tables, a couch and love seat, old dresser and probably 30-40 pieces of clothing. Took me about an hour to load up, I get to the parking lot, this scumbag piece of shit smoking a cigarette at the door goes "hope youre not trying to donate that, were done at 6"... Its fukking 6:03!!!!!!!!!!! There was probably $400 worth of shit easily in there. I am so pissed, I try to do a good deed and this is how these fukks treat me?

It happens, go back tomorrow. Imagine if some cock boy did that to you at your job you have been at since 8am. No reason to get worked up.

I gave up on the bigger charities like that major. We've got a place in San Antonio that is for veterans and sends a truck around every couple of months -- mind you, we're 50-odd miles out of town. They call us a few nights before they're going to be in the area, tell us a time and pick the stuff up. We donate to the local outfits like that, local animal shelter, local FFA. Screw the big boys.

Deuce youre missing the point, WB kind of touched on it... They are a charity who operates on donations. They do not offer pick ups or even help you unload. So youre telling me that if I was 3 minutes late they shouldnt accept a large dontation like that? I know they have times but they gotta be flexible with that shit. ITS DONATIONS!!! I didnt have to waste my time doing all that ya know? The dude was just such a prick about it, they should be greatful, not tell me to go fukk myself.

WB, I drove to a womans and childrens shelter and dropped all the stuff off there, you should have seen the people run out to help it was like christmas. I am going to stick to the local places for now on, definitely learned my lesson.

It's not either of those Deuce. Think it's connected to Brooks Army Hospital out of San Antonio. All I know is the Queen Bee tells me to put together a bag of clothes every couple of months to give them, either that or she'll go through and decide what I'm giving away. We generally just give them clothing, and take the other stuff like old bikes, furniture, etc, down to the local action center that cleans stuff up and then sells very cheap or gives away to some of the local folks.

I once went there to drop off a tv. It was pretty heavy and I had a herniated disk in my back. I pull up in front and there in a black guy smoking. After waiting 3 minutes i asked if anyone was working. He said he was the only one and he was on break.

F these people. I go a couple of times a year just so I have paper statements so I could write off the max % without showing proof.

Do you declare donations for on your taxes? If not, you should.

Goodwill sucks. My dad used to work for them after he retired. They make a sh!t load of money and give all the management level employees fat bonuses. In the mean time they make old folks like my dad sits in the sun waiting for donors. They won't let him sit the in shade 10 yards away. My dad got pissed and quit.

I can see why the attendant didn't want to take your stuff. He only get paid minimum wage. Each year he gets like an 8 cents raised. Fuk Goodwill. They ain't good for sh1t if they can't even treat their employees right.

Um this maybe is too complex for you to understand. Maybe you should look into it. You may get back a weeks pay at Taco Bell in your taxes.

Yes, it is known that you could claim a certain % of your income as donations before they ask for detailed records.

Here is what to do. Go there once and drop off shit, clothes, whatever. Ask to fill out the form. You list what you gave. They sign it. Keep the copy. When you do your taxes you could say you donated x amount of goods to charity. From what I'm told you won't catch slack if it is a certain % of your gross salary or household gross. I don't know what the % is but I could find out. Maybe 3ish. It is still a write off where you could benefit.

If you don't have shit drive by one of the fake salvation army drop off boxes and pick up someone elses donation and take it to salvation army. I don't do this since I give my own things but it would work.

I most cases, they will just give you the receipt. You can take it home and put whatever on it. Keep it if you plan to claim it on your taxes.
