I've never been to a GA meeting but my experience tells me that 12 step programs can work for addiction. Maybe see if there's one in your area and check it out. Better than killing yourself.

Best piece of advice I could give you is what I did but it's not easy & you'll probably just get burned out & quit but here goes. Twice in the last 5 yrs when I lost it all with nothing in the bank I got a 2nd security job where I was working anywhere from 80-100 hrs/wk combined. This only worked for me cuz in my regular graveyard shift post I was basically able to sleep about 6 hrs on the job in an office bldg. break room. If you could find a similar situation, you could stack $500/wk. in the bank from the 2nd job & quit after a year with at least $26K saved up. Gotta be disciplined enough to never touch that money & just bet with the money from your 1st job. Good luck.

^Actually quite good advice imo. Funny how a lot of us write off work but at my low points and I've had many like the way you're feeling Woj, but work was something I looked forward to as it kept me busy my mind wasn't in a dark place, the weekends and nights were the painful times.

Find something you loved 10 years ago, was it music? was it biking? making things? anything and try get back into it. Just gotta keep that mind from going dark which is so hard sometimes. But first of all you've got to ban all that gambling action by disabling it, it's actually quite easy after awhile you'll be surprised. And take that advice at the start of the thread I guess and see if that debt can be gone, if you're credits toast it shouldn't matter too much you've worked you way back before and plenty of time to get it back.

I so agree with this. I have lost insane amounts after i won at sports betting . If you will have any luck it will be after a deposit but once you win some they flip that switch and you start losing . I got a good amount back from my losses and actually in casino got it back to $2900 or so from $700 back. Then i blocked casino because i know any moment casino was going to go on a 28 out of 30 hands run or something like that.

I think the key is for people that do go in and dont want to stay out is only do it to a certain point then block it. Thats what i do and just make sure you stay out. I have my limit normally at $2000 . If i go in casino or hit a bet and get to $2000 i block it normally. I have been stupid here and there though . But normally i do block it and dont go back in.

I could write a book on the nightmares i have had in there . But i have gotten better

Every bet/day is different like why do u have to always try to get back your money you lost like you said you have to get back to 3500 because that's how much you got to before you lost, I don't understand what's the amount you're trying to get
