Yeah, ROC could only send a limited amount due their constant, rampant doping.

They have 330 athletes competing in 30 different sports in this Olympics. They only had 282 athletes in Rio. A larger group, 436 went to London. The last few Olympics they've had to change anthems, names, flags, no flags. State sponsored doping is not good.

I agree. Strictly gold medals should not be the only measure. I actually think we should look at how many athletes qualify or make the finals, especially in track. If Jamaica gets 3 sprinters in the 100 finals that is impressive no matter if they win or not.

TOKYO — Carl Lewis, the winner of nine gold medals in four Olympic Games, could not believe his eyes. He was at home Wednesday night in Houston watching the U.S. men’s 4x100-relay team melt down half a world away in the Olympic Stadium, and he simply could not contain his frustration.
“This was a football coach taking a team to the Super Bowl and losing 99-0 because they were completely ill-prepared,” Lewis said in a phone interview with USA TODAY Sports.
“It’s unacceptable. It’s so disheartening to see this because it’s people’s lives. We’re just playing games with people’s lives. That’s why I’m so upset. It’s totally avoidable. And America is sitting there rooting for the United States and then they have this clown show. I can’t take it anymore. It’s just unacceptable. It is not hard to do the relay.”

2nd leg pass looked like Frick and Frack on ice skates. They took forever to exchange the baton, slowing down almost to a stop and ended up 6th. How do they keep fukkking up this event?

Obviously they didn't train. They looked totally disjointed and unprepared.
They need to do something different or just not enter the event. I think they need to rethink how they qualify and choose their athletes. One year prior to the games take 5 or 6 fast guys and have them train to run the event. They would meet every few weeks, what have you to prepare for the games. To think our guys can just show up and run this event is stupid.

USA has two more then china. Not that large and China has 7 more gold medals. As for Australia they usually show well in the summer games.

No disputing now... USA >> China + a billion more people.


Take out weightlifting, Ping Pong and underage girls diving and China would have been behind Australia in gold medals.
