The NFL's position on vaccines was expected. Understandably it will be looking to protect its own business by persuading, cajoling, or outright bullying players to get vaccinated. However, in reality the policy document is pretty meaningless. If 10 players on a team test positive 8 of whom are un-vaccinated and 2 of whom are vaccinated who's to say which player caught it first and spread it to the others?
In any case the situation in the US is likely to be different 6 weeks, (or 4 months), from now.
What the NFL is really saying is teams should keep vaccinated players over un-vaccinated players, unless sporting or contract issues dictate otherwise. Un-vaccinated players should not expect contract extensions, at least not at full market value.Comment -
