Yeah, but that was when everyone was social distancing, wearing a mask, no crowds, etc. So it wasn't as easy to get infected. It's a different story now, plus Delta is even more contagious.

Yes, they will make it through, but unvaxxed players and their games will be impacted. Be aware. I think we're gonna know who's unvaxxed. I bet if we total up the unvaxxed players that at least a quarter of them will be impacted by covid at one time or another, especially those on teams with < 85% vaxxed.

You are not going to have as many people getting it and it is not going to be spreading as much so it will not be as big a deal. There will definitely be some players test positive but it will not be something that is not fairly easily handled. Bring a guy in off the practice squad and move on.

Also if you have COVIDs, guys will get shots and they will be good in two weeks.

The SEC and NFL just don’t want a repeat of scheduling like both had to deal with last year. Losses/game checks missed gets everyone’s attention and keeps the SEC and NFL from having to make tough decisions every week.

This is NOT the medical field/hospital where being vaccinated and working WITH Covid patients is just common sense and a liability issue. This is football. Neither the SEC nor NFL can stronghold players into getting the vaccine. Just not playing/paying them is enough. No one will get cut/fired for not being vaccinated. This really boils down to not having a repeat of scheduling issues like the ones that were encountered last year. Definitely don’t want another situation like Pittsburgh being moved everyday until they settled on a Wednesday night again waiting on Baltimore.
