Papa John gets his Camaro back for a $250K finders fee

Papa John’s International Inc. founder John Schnatter, with help from an auto-enthusiast Web site operator, has tracked down the car he sold to help fund the launch of his pizza empire.

Schnatter sold the 1971 Z28 Camaro in 1983 and this spring launched a contest seeking to find the car. He initially offered a $25,000 reward for locating the car but raised the bounty to $250,000 when leads began to dry up.

Hard to believe he helped his dad out financially with the $2800.00 he sold the car for and started his pizza business with such little money. It was 1983 not 1953.

John Schnatter should have sold all of his stocks Oct 27, 2006. But he must be doing well
