    Citadel
    Anyone know anything about Citadel?

They are a Neteller type service. When the news of the Neteller arrests broke, Citadel is one of three places I opened an account with. All three subsequently followed Neteller out of the U.S. market. In the interim, though, I did one transaction with them. Legendz sent $2,500 to my Citadel account, and that same day I requested an EFT from Citadel to my bank for the full $2,500. Hours later is when they shut off U.S. customers, though like Neteller they claim they have only stopped doing transactions between sportsbooks and U.S. customers, and that transactions between Citadel itself and U.S. customers like my EFT are still fine.

That was about eight days ago and there is still no sign of the money. I’ve called them several times, but they do nothing but read whatever standard statement they have on how long EFTs take and say, “I’m sure it’ll be there tomorrow.” Today I pressed them more on it, and they said they’d look into it and if there was some problem with the transaction they’d cancel it and I’d have to start over with a whole new EFT request.

So even though I was lucky enough to get virtually all my money out of Neteller, it looks like I might get burned in the same manner by a different company. I’m in limbo just like all the Neteller customers waiting on EFTs and checks, except Citadel isn’t even admitting there’s a problem or delay.

About the only mention I’ve seen on other forums is someone claiming Citadel isn’t paying their merchants the money they owe them and is probably going under. Obviously I hope that’s not true. But as pessimistic as I am about the books right now, I actually think my most likely stiff is going to come from this outfit.

Anyone else with money there, or know anything?
