That shot still gives me chills. Saved Lebron and Wade's legacies. Sorry to hear that -- I was all over the Heat series down 3-2. Thought I was done. They brought out the tape. They were bringing out the trophy.

I got buried in 2011 on the Heat Dallas series. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, Lebron melting down in 1 4th quarter after another. One of the biggest hits of my career.

Was on a high horse too because I was the forum villain at the time, when I told everyone that Miami would sweep the Bulls in the next 4 games after they lost game 1 in the ECF to Rose when they were the 2 seed. Everyone was praying for me to lose.

Miami won 4 straight, and I ascended to legedary territory on SBR, and then my downfall was quick after Miami lost in the finals.

But I ressurected my career the following 2 years, predicting Miami would win the next 2 years with Bron and Wade.

The great Billy Walters had a line something like, gambling ruins the simple joy of watching a game.

Sorry for those who cannot enjoy just watching a game for what it is without a bet on it.

But I think the best era was when the Spurs started playing that beautiful style of ball when Parker become one of the best pgs in the world. That b2b finals against miami was unreal. You didn't see that kind of basketball played in the 90s, and definitely hasn't been played since. That Ray Allen 3 in the first finals, probably the biggest shot in nba history.

The Boston LA finals in 2010 was pretty damn great too, more of that 80s style dogfight. 83-79 final score in game 7. Foul on every play that wasn't called.

Watching the Warriors with Durant was a once in a lifetime thing. 3 shooters of that calliber. Don't think we'll ever see something like that again. But they had cake walks to rings, and would have been an easy 3 peat as well.
Good stuff. How old are you GOAT? Growing up while Mike became a global icon was absolutely once in a lifetime. As Iverson said, Jordan had an aura about him. I saw him play a few times before I was a teenager and it was a real holy shit moment. My dad tells me I was around 11 or so and I said “that’s fuckin’ Michael Jordan”, the shoes, etc... it was huge. I had to make sure the m’fer has the shoes on to validate my own pair. Ha.

In my lifetime only 2 other guys made me feel that feeling at a game- IsiahThomas (my all time favorite) and Kobe Bryant. When I saw Kobe it was just watch Kobe... who cares about the game. Kobe was an oh shit moment.

My favorite era though with the dream team, etc... Bird, Magic, Bad Boys, Showtime, Jordan, etc... I remember watching 80’s Lakers games and it felt like Los Angeles was this magical place somewhere that produced all the stars. Just an unbelievable time. Pistons are my squad so those battles I loved.

I think you are right though about those Spurs teams. Damn they played beautiful ball. Great era. Ray Allen with that shot saved Lebron’s ass. Lebron is not the guy he is today if that doesn’t go in.

Used to watch sports without gambling on it many years ago but it stopped making sense.

Now Ive been gambling but Im not watching unless its a total key game (championship).

I prefer watching only my favorite teams matches and it really adds more fun to the bets. Betting on other teams is a pragmatic routine

it better to watch live numbers inside games than the game itself if you want to win at a reg rate imo.........

I remember that too. I just new they could do it, and the price was so good and I just didn't have the balls to buy miami when it was hopeless.

                          I knew it too.

Definitely in the "one that got away" category.
