I just find it hard to believe but on the Golden Nugget ad they play in the hotel room they claim to have up to $500 slots

I'm sure they get played at some places. But it can't be too regularly though.

If you max line it at $1500 a hand and play 120 hands an hour.... no matter how much of a bankroll you have it will be torn to shreds if you hit a cooler.

I'm willing to be wrong here but when I went to Caesars in AC a few months back they had $100 machine with a 5x multipler.

So I wouldn't be surprised if there is one similar to that for $500 x 5 at The Borgata in AC or anywhere large in Vegas.

100k stake seems about right.

When I play slots I usually sit with $20 and play 5 lines x 5 cents and it will last a solid hour or sometimes way more. Enough to justify 4-5 free drinks.

100k is 66 pulls at 1.5k.

If you are returning 90% in wins and playing 120 hands an hour you are looking at a projected loss of over 20k in one sitting.

5k Vodka + Pineapples are not that appealing to me.

You don't have to put the money in. Usually people playing those machines get markers anyway. They'll print out a slot ticket for whatever amount that is fed into the machine instead. That's why every high limit slot room has its own cage.
