I asked a while back and was told that SBR has met them, and there have been nothing but positive reports from posters about them. But due to their connection with existing poorly rated books we could not add them with a rating higher than those. Which would not be helpful to posters or Betnow. So it was decided to not add them at all for now.

Would it take a change in the poorly rated connected books to affect BetNow?

Curiously, what would have to happen to change SBR's view and issue a rating?

One issue is if it is a small forum book it could be risky

i don't think its fair to BetNow to say forum members are "pumping" a book. we are happy with our experiences. they are number 4 for me. i just wish they had more alternate lines for totals and sides on football and basketball.

they also seemed to remove that captcha thing which sucked major ass

Agreed, if anything it should give SBR more incentive to finalize some kind of rating, or warning.

I say "warning" but I have to say that I currently have no reason to believe there should be a warning for betnow and in fact have reason to say the opposite.

To be fair though, we've all been burned before.

It's up to SBR now to give us the inner details and information to let us decide.

The Forum has clearly had a good experience with them.

Don't think I've read a negative thing about the book and money transfers yet. Spread vig can be high, but there are definitley worse things to say about a book.

It's definitely SBGGlobal. They stopped accepting US customers and spun off BetNow for this purpose. Their Join Now form creates an account at BetNow for US based players. I know this because I tried signing up for SBGGlobal and accidentally created a second BetNow account in my name, which I then had to contact them about to delete. There's no indication that you're signing up for BetNow throughout their registration process - you land at BetNow at the end and it's a complete surprise. At least this is how it functioned when I tried this well over a year ago.

That, plus their lines are identical.

A) You aren't talking about some rogue middle manager at 5Dimes here. Tony was the OWNER of 5Dimes, and therefore set the tone and the direction of the company. If 5D and BAS are one in the same, as many here suspect, rest assured he would have treated his BAS customers the same way.

But more importantly...

B) TONY HAS BEEN DEAD FOR YEARS. How is he relevant to anything in this discussion?


Consider this thought experiment. Imagine a world where - just like BetNow - BetUS spun off a completely different website (let's call it "BetFuture"). And all of the positive reviews you've been seeing about BetUS over the past couple years were instead being said about BetFuture. It seems to me like you might have a new favorite book!

Both BetNow and BetUS appear to be going through an effort of rehabilitating their image. The only difference is that one didn't rebrand with a fancy new website. Maybe they should, as it appears to have a big impact on some people.


Again, I'm a big fan of BetNow. I'm in no way attacking them. I'm just pointing out the logical inconsistency. Sportsbooks have rehabbed their image before in the past, and it will happen again in the future.
