What month of NFL betting usually treats you best?
We always hear about "soft lines" at the start of an NFL season, but does September really go best for anyone? Do you fare better once teams are in mid-season form?

For me, October has always seemed best. You have seen what everyone has for 4 games in September and come October you can get into more on what teams are overvalued or undervalued. After 4 games, the public falls a little too in love with some fav's and those dogs can start cashing nicely.

    Anyone have thoughts to share?

I tend to do worse in the playoffs, Cane. But there can be advantages in fading the public line moves since heavier money is coming in with fewer games.

The month right before playoffs, when the good times rise to the top.

None. Football and basketball don't offer the value bets as baseball, tennis, nor soccer.

November, with an emphasis on the Thanksgiving Day games.

This is the case for a lot of people, jatt! It can be pretty tough to even go 50% in the NFL for most.

The T-Day games can be money for sure, Shortstop! Some teams are more ready for the Thursday spots than others. A lot of line movement with public square money also. College football usually has some good lines to jump on that week as well. It can be one of the best times for NBA and college hoops also.

                              Usually after like 4 weeks

a little easier to get a read on teams then.

I agree, the earlier weeks are always the toughest for myself.
