With everyone out in Vegas for the bash, it got me thinking back to some nice comps I've enjoyed in the casino world. Anyone have some good stories to share?
What was the best comp you ever got from a casino?

#2Back in November 2005 I received one of the accidental comps sent out by Harrah's Joliet for $525.00. I acctually saved the email and here was the letter they wrote me:
Dear Michael,
You recently received, or will soon receive, a cash offer from Harrah's Joliet in the amount of $525. This offer was, unfortunately, sent in error, and we are unable to accept this coupon. We apologize for this inconvenience and assure you that you will receive your correct offer in the mail within the next week. In addition to this offer, you will also receive a bonus cash coupon to thank you for your patience. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Please call
1-800-HARRAHS with any questions.

General Manager - Harrah's
They sent out over 5 million dollars in these coupons and eventually honored them. I walked into the casino, cashed my comp, got a free pepsi, and left with my Christmas gift money.
I GOT EM THAT TIME!

#5That's some story, Bigmike - they must have taken a hit out of that deal. Certainly gets people showing up but not everyone will be sending the $525 back in.Originally posted by BigmikesmBack in November 2005 I received one of the accidental comps sent out by Harrah's Joliet for $525.00. #6Not bad, aggie! They probably figure someone gets hooked enough on the slots that they'll keep pulling the reels more frequently in that hour, but some people know how to take advantage.Originally posted by aggieshawngot a free room at tropican for 1 hour of slot play. spent exactly 3 bucks. each spin took 5 mins once we figured out how the timing clock worked. promo lasted 5 days and then was gone. but we go our week of free first

#16That's pretty good, Shady! It took me a year or so to use up $750 in Macy's gift cards from the Venetian. Gift cards are money in the bank.Originally posted by RealSlimShadyAn $800 Discover gift card plus a few nights comped stay at the Rio to show up several years ago.

Absolutely. Harrah's is pretty stingy now.......don't get anything as good anymore! Nothing more than free room and $50-100.
