I still have a couple of poker chip sets from sportsbook.com that are cool. Saw the new one that TVG is giving out with a signup and seems worth it if you want one.

Do you use it much, Fish? I have never even used mine. I'd like to set up a big card game at the Reload-er mansion sometime.

I have a set of nice clay chips with my initials engraved in them that was a birthday present in college. They're still in mint condition, I never host poker parties or play amongst the locals.

That's a nice touch with the initials, Rogue! I think anyone would fear playing against you with those chips.

Hah, I never even thought of that, Joe. It gives me incentive to host a poker game this weekend and see if your supposition bears fruit.

I'd say go for it, Rogue. But don't plan on trying to hustle people into thinking you don't know what you're doing. It's like playing pool with someone that has their own stick.

LOL, that's a very valid point. I think it cuts in my favor though that all my friends know that while i have nice things, I suck at a great many things that ordinary people excel at. Hopefully they'll think that the chips are just the most recent installment of my acquisition of knick-knacks and I can still try to hustle them out of some bucks.

For the record, I own a nice pool cue as well, engraved with the logo of my alma mater (Oregon State Beavers), and they know I suck at pool too. What can I say? I like nice things...

Yeah, you could try using the excuse that you had the chips sitting around for so long but have -never- played poker and thought it was time to start "learning" with your own chips. Hustle, smash, grab, take
