This just means the state won't mandate mask wearing, which they shouldn't. The city, local officials and local merchants should regulate this. So this does not open the flood gates to people not wearing masks. You will still have to wear one most places. It's a move to personal responsibility. We still have 40% people that are asymptomatic. So they don't know they are spreaders. We had 5 people die in Houston the past 2 days, one lady was in her 30s in good health.

The head of the Houston Health Department said it best...
"There are a lot of people dying needlessly because of the behavior of others."
