My son took the Nets to win the East I set up an account for him in my name & gave him 300. He’s treating that bankroll very professionally in my opinion. He’ll be 15 in August. I’m teaching him how to be a responsible gambler.

My son realizes at a very young age that betting on sports & being successful at it is one the hardest things to do as a profession. I’m not teaching him to become a professional sports bettor when he grows up. I’m teaching him if he decides to gamble & supplement his income with sports betting to do it in a way where he has a better chance at success. We are both huge sports fans & we watch a lot of sports so naturally yes we want to try & predict an outcome. I am very responsible & strict when it comes to his grades & when it comes to who he surrounds himself with on a daily basis unlike my parents were with me. My parents were not home & there for me a lot & I did whatever the f u c k I wanted & that reflected in a really negative way with my school & a possible successful adulthood.

I have a summer job lined up for him washing cars not too far away from our home and he can ride his bike there. He’s only 14 and he’s on a good path unlike how I was his age using drugs & chasing skirt.

His grades are solid across the board 3.75 GPA as a freshman in high school. My freshmen year I had a 1.7 & skipped school all the time & had to go to summer school to pass the year. My son is on the right track.

That’s great to hear. American kids need to step it up. The work ethic of kids in China and Vietnam are the best I’ve ever seen. It’s sad , they have no social life. Homework and school that’s it. Kids in Vietnam go to school 6 days a week. Tell him all the hard work now will pay off when he’s older !!
